Goa has what investors look for: a stable Government, a single window with fixed timelines, two international airports, a major port, and a quality of life that helps companies hire and keep talent,” said Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta.
The Vibrant Goa Global Business Summit 2026, curated by SARC under the leadership of its Founder and Chairman Sunil Kumar Gupta, concluded with the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight companies, involving proposed investments of approximately ₹12,350–12,600 crore and expected employment generation of around 10,000 people.
Held from October 29 to 31 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Goa University, Taleigao, the three-day summit brought together delegates from more than 50 countries, over 300 international buyers and more than 200 Goan MSMEs. The event was organised by the Vibrant Goa Foundation in association with the Government of Goa and inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The summit's key achievement was translating investment discussions into concrete project commitments across sectors including energy, healthcare, sports, data centres, electric mobility and infrastructure.
Among the major agreements, Anvi DMCC (Anvi AI) signed an MoU for a proposed ₹5,000 crore LPG Security Terminal at Mormugao, expected to generate 3,000 jobs. Bondada Group signed for a ₹3,000 crore solar and biogas project, while RIVAR Ventures LLC FZ committed ₹3,000 crore towards an International Sport City.
Other projects include a ₹600 crore Kapil Dev Hospitals initiative by KDSG Medical College and Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., a ₹500 crore data centre by Akshay Nagar SPV, and an electric bus manufacturing project by Easy Green Mobility Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of EaseMyTrip, with a proposed investment of ₹250–500 crore in phases and an estimated 3,500–4,000 jobs.
SARC is serving as the implementation partner for the data centre project and facilitation partner for the International Sport City and LPG Security Terminal.
SARC's Role in Shaping Goa's Investment Roadmap
Under Sunil Kumar Gupta's leadership, SARC curated several strategic sessions focusing on investment promotion, youth entrepreneurship, renewable energy, maritime infrastructure, data protection and artificial intelligence.
At the opening-day Invest in Goa session, moderated by Gupta, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant released the 'Invest in Goa: Handbook for Investors and Startups 2026', authored and compiled by Sunil Kumar Gupta and Chanchal Soni. The Chief Minister also released the fourth edition of Gupta's book 'Make in India'.
Emphasising the State's investment potential, Gupta said Goa offers investors a stable government, a single-window clearance mechanism, international connectivity, port infrastructure and a quality of life conducive to attracting skilled talent.
Data Protection and AI Emerge as Key Focus Areas
One of the significant discussions at the summit focused on data protection and cybersecurity readiness ahead of the implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules.
The panel, convened by SARC AI Technologies Private Limited and moderated by Sunil Kumar Gupta, featured Ranu Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of DataSurity by SARCai, along with cybersecurity, legal and technology experts.
The discussion highlighted the importance of data governance, breach preparedness and compliance for government departments, public sector undertakings and private organisations handling personal information.
Another session examined Goa's ambition to become an AI-enabled State following the unveiling of the Goa AI Policy 2026. Experts stressed that secure digital infrastructure, quality data, skilled professionals and human accountability would be essential for responsible AI adoption.
Solar Energy and Maritime Infrastructure on the Agenda
The summit also featured a high-level roundtable on renewable energy, examining opportunities to bridge the gap between Goa's renewable energy capacity and its peak electricity demand. Discussions covered rooftop solar, floating solar, battery storage and solar installations on government buildings.
The Maritime Horizons session, moderated by Gupta, explored opportunities in port development, dredging, ship repair, maritime infrastructure and participation of Goan MSMEs in the country's expanding shipbuilding ecosystem.
Chief Minister Invites Investors to Goa
Addressing the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant invited investors to bring their capital and confidence to Goa. He highlighted the State's ease of doing business, logistics infrastructure, warehousing policy and proposed electronics manufacturing cluster.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the unveiling of a 35-kg coffee table book commemorating India's historic 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. Conceptualised by Sunil Kumar Gupta, the book features untold stories from India's campaign, with Chief Minister Sawant and former India cricket captain Kapil Dev participating in its unveiling.
From MoUs to Implementation
SARC will submit a follow-up note to the Chief Minister's Office and Goa-IPB within seven days, outlining the proposals discussed during the opening day and suggesting responsibility for subsequent action. It will also consolidate the requirements and commitments emerging from the solar and maritime sessions.
Following the summit, SARC Global and DataOS have entered into service agreements with the Government of Goa and other investors, while SARC Global has also signed project management consultancy agreements with various investors.
With SARC as the Curator, the Vibrant Goa Global Business Summit 2026 has sought to position Goa beyond its traditional tourism identity and strengthen its profile as a destination for investment, technology, manufacturing, entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth.
